My friendster Marls shows off that the toes match the fingers. Here’s the rest of the shots from Saturday. …
After work yesterday, Kelly and I went running along the East River. I normally go down along the FDR and under the WB bridge by myself and I tend to space out while I run. Because of this, I hadn’t noticed something until Kelly pointed it out—the East River Park is really nasty. There are potholes in the path along the river that have had permanent fences erected around them rather than being filled. Much of the path is dug up for sewer repairs and the space along the river is inaccessible and occupied by indigent drifters. One of which exuded such an aroma, that it smacked me in the head when I jogged by, twenty feet away. The path remains nasty until it passes a similarly odorific Fulton Fish Market and reaches the Battery. But it still is better than a treadmill. I should have just pretended to listen to Kelly and remained unaware.

Let me stand next to your fire
Another Lomo shot. Have I ever told you that I love to BBQ? …
So after I get home from vacation last week, my camera stopped working. I took it to a licensed Pentax repair center on East 13th Street. That shop is one of those places entirely unique to New York. A plain store front hides a small business that consists of one counter and twelve men at desks repairing cameras. The whole place looks like it was started in 1912 to repair Eastman Instamatics an that the fellas have been at the desks ever since. Unfortunately, they cannot repair my camera and it must be sent to the factory. The cost is so much that it may make more sense to but a new camera, especially since I lust after new cameras. Anyone want to join me at B&H tomorrow?

Charmin, squeezably soft®, clogs toilets more than any other brand.

I’ve always liked the name Elizabeth for girls.

I spent last night at The B-Side, a bar on Avenue B. A whole host of kids were there, including Josh, Tricia, Tyler, Judy, Chris, Tim, Dina, Melissa, and some others. A very good time.

Lomo arigato…
I had another roll of Lomo shots developed and I'm really pleased with the results. I also purchased a scanner last night and today's picture was digitized from the negative. It works pretty well so most of the pics in the next few days will be from real film. This is also because my digital camera is in the repair shop. That's another story.

I really like today's photo and if you look closely, it tells you quite a few things about that day:
1.) I'm with a pretty girl (Mary).
2.) She is sitting and so am I.
3.) It's a sunny day, but we are in the shade.
4.) I'm drunk and we are bar-b-queing. Ok, you need to look really close to be able to see that.

Kristen Rocks
My dear friend Kristen mentioned to me that she was unhappy about not being POTD(Pic of the Day) more often. Normally, I would not cater to a passive aggressive request, but she did organize last week’s vacation. And she gets so funny after a few Coronas. Thanks, Kris-stone. You rock. …
I finished the new Harry Potted last night and I am suffering severe withdrawal symptoms. I’m desperately behind on my assignments for a writing workshop I’m taking. My digital camera is broken and needs to be dropped off at a repair shop. I need to schedule a dentist appointment. I have a massive stack of work on my desk. I need a hair cut.
Anyone up for drinks later?

THE FIRST DAY BACK…
…sucks. I have about one hundred pages left of that damned Potter book. It’s like literary crack. …
I’m trying to get a few more vacation photos from Cousin Ben. If you talk to him, please ask him nicely to send me what he’s got.

Today’s pic is less than half of the kids chilling on the upper deck.

Here’s a first draft of the pics.
Think back on your happy place
It’s Sunday and I’m in the office trying to get a headstart on a mountain of email. Last week’s vacation at the Outer Banks was a raging success and I will dedicate a page to it. Five other people on the trip had digital cameras, so I left mine in my room and let others document the trip. I’ll post pics as soon as they arrive. In the meantime, here is a shot of my happy place to help me survive returning to work on Monday. BBQ, Beach and Guinness.

Happy Independence Day
Greetings from the beach. Me and the kids are enjoying the pool and the ocean after a day or so of rain. I’m trying my hardest to do nothing and succeeding. On page 74 of 870.
This shot is me and Capt. America.

Some of the folks met
Some of the folks met for Happy Hour at One and One on Friday. I still like that place. Great chicken fingers.
This weekend involved quite a bit of resting and quietly sitting outdoors. Most of the same old, same old, but I did have a few adventures on Sunday.
Tomorrow, I leave for vacation. The Outer Banks of North Carolina.
…
Watched the new program on Showtime with Erik Stoltz called Out of Order. It’s not bad, but why must every high brow Sunday cable program be ultra dark and depressing. Luckily, we had cheese and crackers.

Lots of tunes available at EMusic.

WELCOME TO THE NEW SITE
Here it is. The new site, but only half done. The changes to the end-user are merely cosmetic and ease of navigation, but the benefits to maintenance time are tremendous. I still need to copy over the old archives and links. Looking back on the last two years, I am amazed at how much content I put online. I’m also aghast at how poorly it is edited. Please check out some old pics as I slowly add links over the next few days. Also, send me a note and tell me what you think of the new look and feel. …
What do you do when it gets hot? Grab a cold one (the beer) and a hot one (Trish) and head out onto the fire escape. Try not to look down.
