Brooklyn Stained Glass

This was the weekend for Open House New York and the wtb and I used the opportunity to tour St. Ann's church on Montague Street. St. Ann's is a beautiful Episcopalian church built in 1847. The architect Minard Lafever commissioned a complete set of stained glass windows, the first in America, from artist Jay Bolton. The series along the balcony depict the pinnacle moments of Jesus's life, including the miracle at the wedding, turning water into wine. If you click on the smaller image, you can see the blue water magical turning into purple wine as it is poured. I spent the rest of the weekend perfoming my own miracle where I turn wine into pee.
