Man Saves Saint Brigid’s

Back in August of 2006, I lamented the destruction of the historic St. Brigid's church in the East Village. Well, saints be praised, Gothamist and NY1 report that the church is being saved. An anonymous benefactor is giving 20 million. Yikes, for that kind of scratch you can get a studio in Tribeca.
