Last night I walked two blocks to the famous CBGB to see the Coastal Drag rock out. I took about fifty pictures of the band for their website (www.coastaldrag.com) and just a few shots for the Pic of the Day. The best one may have been of the bathroom. It captured the essence of the punk rock club more than the stupid expression on my face in this shot.
About the show, they sounded great and the moderately sized crowd was into it. While they were breaking down, I told Mary how awesome it was and she replied that they sucked tonight, which is a habit of hers. I’m trying to break her of it. When a fan tells you that the show was good, the last thing they want to hear about is equipment failures they didn’t notice. The performer should just smile and say thanks…or spit on them depending what the moment calls for.
