I hang TVs

This weekend, I mounted Lauren's TV on the wall of her new apartment. It's always a bit scary to hang a TV.

I generally dislike summer, but even as a cold weather curmudgeon, I like to get in at least one pool day.

Lauren was in town this weekend. That generally means I get twice the eye-rolling and holding-the-purse-during-soho-shopping. It's cool, as long as they buy me lunch.

Strangely enough...

Strangely enough, last night was great. We had a large turnout to the windy garden at DBA. We passed the camera around and everyone took a self portrait.

Last night I left work

Last night I left work early for my soccer game and then rushed home after it, skipping book club. I needed to be home in front of my big TV to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Happy Labor Day

Happy Labor Day. I did nothing but lounge and hang out with my friends this weekend and it was wonderful. My place has turned into a great place to lamp*.

I left the camera at work so today is another shot from the archive. This is an old photo of when I met the president.

Last night, with the help of Erik and Kate, I was able to hang my book shelves and put up the books, adding more precious space to the apartment. I think we are close to being ready for a couch. To celebrate, Erik, Kate, Lauren, and I had a pint in the rec room (formerly known as the Edge). After dealing a bit of sage advice to us, Erik commented, "I am like Confucius...except with a beer and a cigarette," gesturing with those items.
