Turkey Day '09

I was so busy cooking the bird, that I didn't take very many pictures. I even forgot to take a shot of the whole family at the table. They were all very happy and looked younger than last year.

Strangely enough...

Strangely enough, last night was great. We had a large turnout to the windy garden at DBA. We passed the camera around and everyone took a self portrait.

I left the camera at work so today is another shot from the archive. This is an old photo of when I met the president.

Last night, with the help of Erik and Kate, I was able to hang my book shelves and put up the books, adding more precious space to the apartment. I think we are close to being ready for a couch. To celebrate, Erik, Kate, Lauren, and I had a pint in the rec room (formerly known as the Edge). After dealing a bit of sage advice to us, Erik commented, "I am like Confucius...except with a beer and a cigarette," gesturing with those items.
