I was out of the office today at a digital metrics conference at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. Having lived in NYC for 11 years, I'm seldom inside of hotels because I don't do many conferences and I have an apartment. Because of that, I had no idea there were huge cavernous interiors like a Vegas casino inside some of these buildings. The Marquis also has a central pillar of elevators with glass capsules zipping up and down. The decor is all shiny and well-kept, but somehow 1980's. It's a fine place to relax after a long day of thinking.
