WEEKEND RECAP: I did many fine and photogenic things this weekend, but the SLR remained hidden in my bag because I am lazy. On Friday, we patronized a bar called Crime Scene. It's strictly bottle service after 11 which is not my thing, but blissfully dead after work while the kids pack themselves in like sardines at Slàinte.

Saturday we arrived to a mostly empty Schiller's to meet the charismatic newly weds Trisha nd Steven. We thought the recession was keeping the place empty, but it's just that we are old and arrived before noon.

After brunch it was of to the Union Square Christmas Market. The place was packed in a way that was offensive to Jesus, so we left immediately. Then we bought a live Christmas tree. It's just a 5'4" 'er for the living room window, but we love it. Can you believe I didn't shoot decorating the tree? I did find a shot of a similar tree, though.

Sunday was lots of cleaning and then a scary Steelers' win over the Ravens of Baltimore. Then we caught up on our DVR. Did you see SNL? Fred Armisen did a bit on New York governor David Patterson. While the bits that were just blind stereotypes were shocking and probably over the top, the rampant cocaine references and surreal unexplained vendetta with Jersey had me dying with laughter. I might be going to hell.
