This evening I went to

This evening I went to a party celebrating the third anniversery (traditionaly leather) of The Morning News. I became aware of this site via a friend of Jerry's from North Carolina named Sarah Knowles and was soon a big fan. Always looking to meet new people I swung by after work with my friend Tyler. Walking in was a tad intimidating because we were early and the crowd was still thin, but then I was immediately greeted with the cry, "Are you Jerry's brother?"—a blessing and curse I have enjoyed my whole life. Sarah's cousin Rachel—fiancee to Rosecrans, co-founder of The Morning News—had exclaimed the question and we soon made introductions.

Rachel was an ebullent hostess and Tyler and I fell into several conversations with the suddenly growing crowd. I did not get to chat with Rosecrans, but I must say he was very well dressed. The large turnout was flattering to The Morning News, but the masses combined with my incredible hangover soon caused Tyler and I to flee to a quiet bench at Iona. I did get to meet some very nice folks that I hope to share drinks with again. As an added bonus I also got to talk quality with Tyler who, due to to neither of our faults but more to blame on the East River, I see less often than I like.
