I was tripping around midtown the other day and decided to check out the Museum of Television & Radio at the Paley Center.  It's really more of a library. You browse their inventory at a terminal and then they queue up your selections at a watching kiosk. The most impressive aspect is the depth of their collection. It appears that they have everything. I watched the pilot of The Johnny Cash Show because it featured some songs I also recently downloaded. Johnny Cash had on Doug Kerhsaw and did a duet with Bob Dylan. It was excellent.

One of the main draws is the nostalgia aspect. Someday I need to take my mom and we can watch Howdy Doody.

From a technology standpoint, their system is a bit archaic. It has been said (and I think correctly) that the whole thing could be redone as something more like Hulu.

While the Paley Center is a great visit, it's not very photogenic, so I snapped some shots of the 21 Club next door. I haven't validated this, but I would bet they have more lawn jockeys than any other NYC establishment. I'd like to dine there some time.
