I've been living in NYC for almost ten years and visiting for thirteen. I think you shouldn't be too cool to look around, but I must admit I am sometimes more jaded and less likely to take out my camera than I used to be.

Everyday I transfer from the E to the A or C at Canal Street. I've stood under these bird sculptures probably five hundred times, but yesterday was the first time I ever looked up and saw them.

I like bird sculptures better than birds sometimes. Sculptures wait to be discovered, while birds to that casual pooping on you thing.
