The park encompasses a tract of forest and Glendale Lake. My family spent many weekends picnicking and sailing there when I was growing up. At a young age I would solo a Sunflower sailboat over every square inch of water. It was not the first sign of my misanthropic nature. Not at all.<\/p>\n<p>We couldn&#39;t sail this trip, so we hiked instead. The park was beautiful, but I was really surprised to see it run down a bit and under utilized. For a Sunday in July, the crowds were not crowds. The lake was mostly empty in fact. This fit well with my now refined misanthropism, but still was a bit sad. People in Central PA should be doing more sailing and less NASCAR watching. Anyway, on with the photos.
